Meet Moya
I was born in Llay and have lived in Wrexham all my life (apart from a short spell in the RAF). I have worked in the restaurant business and local radio but for the most of my working career I have been a civil servant working for HMRC. When my employer announced office closures and told that my nearest regional centre would be in Liverpool, I knew the time had come to re-evaluate my working career. I wanted to work for myself and also provide a service that would help others.
My life changed dramatically when my once strong, independent mother became ill. She needed more and more of my time and I often felt that I was fighting a losing battle to give her the help that she needed, whilst working, running my home and looking after our daughter.
HOMEASSIST Wrexham gives me the opportunity to provide a service to others that I would have benefited from during that busy time in my life. I am a wife, mum, sister and friend. I love to read, listen to music and I am also a fund raiser for Marie Curie in my spare time.
HOMEASSIST Wrexham is different to other assistance providers as we don't specifically cater for one demographic. My clients come in all age groups and need something a little different from us. So whether you're struggling to do your weekly shop, clean your home or you're a busy mum/dad and need someone to collect your loved one when you have a meeting that you just can't avoid, we are here to help.
Unlike many other assistance providers, after working for HMRC for 29 years, I'm rather proficient at paperwork and I do love a good list.... so if you need help organising your home office, or filling in that online form, we are here to help.
We also offer our own gardening service, so if you just don't have time to trim the lawn or hedge, we are here to help with that too.
